Sorry we haven't posted a blog post for months. The blog kind of got pushed to the side as we focused on our stream. I'll be trying to update this blog every other week. In the time since our last post in October a lot of things have happened. We continue to grow our twitch streams and have added an additional day for streaming on Thursdays. At this time we are only focused on One Piece (TCG), but may expand to other TCGs later.
In March we went to One Piece Day in Dallas. It was a lot of fun, and we met new friends there. We did not participate in the main tournaments but did participate in a couple side events. One on Saturday and one on Sunday. Kaila and I participated in a 2v2 side event which would have been interesting if it was set up properly. The deal was that each pair would have a "Primary" match and a "Secondary" match. The next matchup, the "Primary" player and "Secondary" player would switch. A primary match win would count for 3 points and a secondary match win would count as 2 points. Unfortunately instead of using another system to track wins and points, they decided to for go a system that could handle it and used Bandai TCG+ app which doesn't have that capability. Since only one of us registered on Bandai TCG+ we could only mark one win or loss. Well, Kaila held her own and won 2 secondary matches while I lost all 3 of my matches, but since we lost all of our primary matches we ended up with 0 points.
On the Sunday we did a 64-man side event. I ended up going 2-2 while Kaila went 1-3. The two wins unfortunately were from no-shows. My two actual matches were against Shanks and Pluffy. I went down to the wire with the opponents having 0 life for both matches. Pluffy though was disheartening. My opponent had 0 life left, 1 blocker and I had 10C Big Mom out. They had 4 DON!! standing with 8 cards in hand. I attacked and he easily countered out and blocked. After the game I asked if he had all 4 Gum Gum Giants in his hand and said he did. How much I loathe that card... Either way Kaila and I had a lot of fun at OP Day. We hope they have another one in the US.
We also have some good news and bad news.
The good news: We'll be expanding our store beyond One Piece TCG in the near future to other card games, mostly to build rep with our wholesaler to be able to get more One Piece, so keep an eye on our store if you're interested in other Bandai card games. If there are other TCGs you'd like to see in the store as well, let us know and we'll see if we can get some inventory.
The bad news: Our senior cat, Mochi, a frequent visitor on our weekly streams has been diagnosed with lung cancer. The prognosis is not good but we have her on chemo and hope she continues to be the best cat for a long time.

Anyways I'll leave that here for this post. Thanks for reading!
