Hey everyone!
Tomorrow Kaila and I will be participating in our first ever tournament for One Piece TCG. It's just a local store tournament at a nearby LGS. This will be a brand new experience for Kaila and mostly new to me. We're both excited and nervous. We generally don't go out and find people to play matches with. We just play games with our friends. Since we're not super competitive players we're not expecting to win the tournament but just to have fun and meet new people. Kaila is planning on using her Green/Black Perona leader. The leader I plan on using is the new Purple/Yellow Charlotte Pudding. The deck I have put together is this:
I know it's not the most optimized deck but I put it together with what we've gotten from our packs/boxes. There are some cards in OP-03 that I want but since we're not participating in regionals or anything, I'm not going to shell out $200 or so to make my deck better. I'm also planning to grab the new yellow Charlotte Katakuri starter deck since it has some of those cards like Charlotte Pudding (OP03-112) in the deck.
I'd prefer to replace Gina (OP07-065) with Charlotte Flampe (EB01-056) but we haven't been able to find a box of the Memorial Collection set for a price we'd be willing to pay and that particular card is selling for $7 dollars a piece since she is a Big Mom Pirates which would work for searching cards like We're Going to Claim the One Piece!! (OP07-077), Charlotte Pudding (OP03-112) and Charlotte Perospero (OP03-113). There are few other cards I'd like to add to replace Baron Tamago (OP08-070), Count Niwatori (OP08-71), and Viscount Hiyoko (OP08-073) but I guess we'll find out how I do in the tournament before making any decisions.
We'll be talking about our experiences during our live stream on Saturday 9/28. Hopefully we'll be able to regal everyone about our dramatic wins and not lament about our crushing losses. Hope to see you there!
